Paul McCartney Offers Free Music Download
Want some free music? Paul McCartney is getting ready to continue reissuing his solo catalog with remastered versions of Tug of War and Pipes of Peace on October 2nd. To celebrate, the legendary bassist is giving away a free download of the 1982 single “Take It Away.”
Though “Take It Away” appears on Tug of War, the remastered single edit version of the song does not feature on the upcoming reissue and is only available for download through McCartney’s site. It’s also been uploaded to YouTube for streaming:
Tug of War was the bassist’s third solo album and the first to be released following the breakup of his band Wings. Pipes of Peace followed the next year with the hit single “Say Say Say” featuring Michael Jackson. Each of the reissues will come in multiple formats with extensive bonus material.
