Eastwood Guitars Unveils Two New Basses, Teases Doubleneck 4/6
Eastwood introduced ten new instruments to their Custom Shop this week including two basses and a double neck guitar/bass. As part of their custom shop, each model is released under a crowd-funding/pre-order campaign.

The first new bass is the Eastwood EB-1, which of course pays tribute to the Gibson EB-1 released in 1953. “We’ve made a few subtle changes but trying to stay true to the original vibe,” Eastwood writes. They build it with a bound, tone-chambered mahogany body finished in a natural mahogany stain matched to a set maple neck. A single humbucker is placed right at the end of the fingerboard. Other features include a bridge with adjustable saddles, a blackwood fingerboard, and a 32-inch scale length.

Eastwood’s Delta 4 is a much different instrument. “You may have seen Les Claypool (Primus) play a resonator bass over the years. Here is our spin on the idea, making one affordable for all you Primus fans!” they write. “It will be based on our top-selling Delta 6 Sidejack Series model but with a short scale 30″ neck.” The Delta 4 will be fitted with a P-90 pickup in the neck position as well as a piezo bridge for tonal flexibility.

Finally, Eastwood teased the Doubleneck 4/6, an instrument featuring both a six-string guitar neck and a four-string bass neck. While it looks promising, the design is still in its early phases and does not have much in the way of specifications.
The Eastwood EB-1 and Delta 4 can be pre-ordered with a $150 deposit and a total price of $599 for each bass.
