Ampeg Introduces Liquifier and Opto Comp Pedals

Ampeg launched two new pedals at the Winter NAMM Show this year: the Liquifier Analog Chorus and Opto Comp Analog Optical Compressor. The new pedals add to their existing preamp and overdrive pedals.
The Liquifier features a dual chorus circuit, which Ampeg says offers deep potential. “This isn’t your typical chorus pedal,” Ampeg Product Manager Ryan Cassady says. “The dual circuit design opens up a new world of chorus sounds that, until now, were only available in much pricier pedals.” While it has an atypical circuit design, it controls are straightforward with Rate, Depth, and Effect level knobs.
Similarly, the Opto Comp is an optical compressor with Compression, Release, and Output level controls. Ampeg says it delivers a smooth, vintage style compression with room for versatility.
Each pedal features true bypass switching. They’ll be shipping in April with price points of $139.99.
