Bass of the Week: Marceau Guitars Thirty
This week we’re taking a look at the Thirty, a short scale bass from Marceau Guitars. Sporting a 30-inch scale and flexible options, the bass offers plenty of versatility.
“Small, lightweight and handy, it’s a studio players’ best friend, performing extremely well through long studio sessions,” the company writes. They also offer the bass in a 34-inch scale version if you like the style but not the scale.
Almost every aspect of the Thirty is customizable, from the body wood to the electronics to the hardware. No matter the combination, the model’s design is sure to strike up some interest.

Wish more builders started with a short scale instrument – so often they are an afterthought or simply not an option. (The one big exception is of course Gibson). Now – does Marceau offer these in painted versions?
Nice 30. I would personally like a 32″ scale headless 5 string.
