Danny Ziemann Announces Free Online Jazz Bass Workshop

Jazz bassist and educator Danny Ziemann has announced a free three-day Zoom workshop called “First Call Bassist Roadmap” to beef up your skills. The workshop will be held on June 1st through the 3rd with 90-minute sessions each day.
“In this workshop, I’ll help you transform your playing so that when top jazz musicians need to hire a bass player, YOU become their first-call,” Ziemann says. “I’ll take you behind the scenes into my ninja ear-training methods (including my “one-pass listen” benchmark) that have gotten me gigs repeatedly with greats like Jorge Rossy, Gordon Webster, Sheila Jordan, Don Menza, and Bobby Militello. I’ll also introduce you to my signature routine for adding clarity and musicality to your accompanying and soloing chops. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a roadmap for strengthening the intrinsic skills that will serve your lifelong musicianship (and land you amazing gigs).”
Ziemann has published several method books, led clinics at the International Society of Bassists convention, and taught at Eastman School of Music and SUNY Oswego. He also has several video courses on DiscoverDoubleBass.com.
The “First Call Bassist Roadmap” workshop is free to attend, but you must register. Claim your spot and find more information on Ziemann’s website.
