La Bella Introduces the Olinto J5 Bass

La Bella’s Olinto line of basses has grown with the introduction of the J5, a five-string Jazz-style bass. Handmade in Brooklyn, the bass is described as maintaining the spirit of a pre-CBS instrument.
Standard specs include a two-piece alder body, a maple neck with a “C” shape, and a rosewood fingerboard. The body profile is a bit thinner than vintage instruments, and the nut width is 1.75 inches – the same as a four-string P bass.
La Bella debuted the J5 at NAMM. Get the full scoop from Eric Coco with demo playing from Nick Campbell via Premier Guitar:
The Olinto J5 is available for order with a base price of $4,600. As they are made to order, several options are available.
