Sandberg Guitars Unveils the Florence Bass
Sandberg Guitars has added a new four-string to their lineup with the Florence Bass. Based on their Florence Guitar, the new bass captures a vintage feel with retro tones to boot. They fit the Florence Bass with their Forty-Eight humbucker in what they call the “sweet spot.”
“Paired with the push/pull tone pot, this makes for quite the versatile bass – ranging from a classic split coil sound to a gigantic Mudbucker sound,” the company writes. Its passive electronics include a push/pull pot with capacitors for tone shaping.
The Sandberg Florence Bass has a short 30-inch scale. It can be configured with several options, including an alder or mahogany body, a maple or mahogany neck, or a maple or rosewood fingerboard. Sandberg offers it in four colors: Natural Mahogany Matte, Tobacco Sunburst, British Racing Green, and Ruby Red Soft Aged.

The Florence Bass is available to be ordered via Sandberg’s Configurator with prices of $1,679 for the natural mahogany and $2,099 for the soft-aged version.
