Ida Nielsen & The Funkbots Deliver a Monster Set at Montreux

Ida Nielsen always brings the groove, and this full set with The Funkbots is a great reminder of why she is one of the most exciting bassists on the scene.

In this performance from the Montreux International Guitar Show, Ida is front and center with her signature Sandberg bass and an Eich bass rig, driving the band with serious pocket, killer tone, and some of the best slap bass playing you will hear anywhere. Her style is unmistakable. It is tight, rhythmic, playful, and full of personality.

Nielsen has long been a favorite here, from her work with Prince and the New Power Generation to her own music with The Funkbots. She has a way of making every line move, and this set shows her doing what she does best.

Ida is keeping funk alive, and she is doing it with style. Check out the full performance.
