Mahavishnu Orchestra: You Know, You Know (Live on BBC)
Mahavishnu Orchestra’s The Inner Mounting Flame lived on my turntable a lot when I was a teenager, and I’ve been listening to that and other records by them lately.
That got me digging around for some videos.
Here’s the band performing “You Know, You Know” live on BBC in 1972, with the stellar lineup of John McLaughlin on guitar, Jan Hammer on keyboards, Jerry Goodman on violin, Rick Laird on bass, and Billy Cobham on drums.
Still unbelievably great!
