New William Parker Quartet CD released
Bassist/composer William Parker has released “Petit Oiseau”, the latest CD by his quartet. The release features eight tracks, all written by Parker, featuring Hamid Drake on drums and percussion, Rob Brown on sax and clarinet, Lewis Barnes on trumpet, and Parker. The CD is released by AUM Fidelity and now available on Amazon.com.

Former Manson bassist Gidget Gein, aka Brad Stewart, was found dead on October 9 in his Burbank, CA home, allegedly due to a heroin overdose.
