Missy Raines & the New Hip

Bassist Missy Raines is on the road, touring with her new band, Missy Raines & the New Hip, and showcasing her new musical directions. The tour follows the band’s February release, Inside Out.

As Missy puts it, she “is now stepping out to make a longtime dream come true; creating a fusing of bluegrass virtuosity, jazz-tinged groove and a song-driven sensibility with a hot band.”

Missy has been a pioneer in bluegrass and acoustic music, starting with bluegrass band Cloud Valley, later touring with Eddie and Martha Adcock, Front Porch Band and a duo with Jim Hurst.
