Carlos D leaves Interpol
In a post on Interpol’s website, the indie rockers recently announced that bassist Carlos D would be leaving the band.
The band has just finished up a new album and explained that “This separation is amicable, and we whole-heartedly wish him great happiness and success. We will remain, as always, deeply respectful fans of this blazingly talented individual.”
According to the release, Carlos “decided to follow another path, and to pursue new goals.”
Carlos, whose last name is Dengler, has been composing for film and commercials over the past few years. You can hear some of his work on his website.
Though they haven’t announced a replacement yet, Interpol is set to hit the road this summer, opening for U2.
