Stone Temple Pilots Bassist: Fatherhood, New Album and Tour
This will be an exciting month for Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo and his wife – they’re expecting their second son to be born in the next few weeks. Stone Temple Pilots will also be releasing a new self-titled album on May 25th – the first since 2001’s Shangri-La-Dee-Da.
DeLeo had the following to say in a recent interview with Pulse radio:
“With a wife and a four-year-old son right now, and another son coming at the end of May, this year is definitely gonna be a year for me personally of wearing a lot of hats,” DeLeo said. “I’ve got a record being released on May 25 and a son coming on May 28 and then a tour that’s gonna take me up to the end of 2011, so it’s gonna be a juggle. But I’m up for it.”
Stone Temple Pilots has been reunited since 2008 putting an end to their seven year hiatus. Look for them on Dave Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel promoting their upcoming album.
