Oteil Burbridge to Tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band

Oteil BurbridgeBassist Oteil Burbridge will be hitting the road with the newly formed Tedeschi Trucks Band, formed by husband and wife team Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks.

The 11 piece group’s sound is described as coming from “Delta blues and Memphis soul, Sixties rock and Seventies funk” – traditions that Burbridge is well versed in, considering his time with the Allman Brothers.

The 12-date trek will have the band crossing the US, starting in South Carolina and working their way to the West Coast and back. More dates, as well as a European leg, are to be announced. The tour is in support of an upcoming debut album entitled Revelator, due out June 7. Fans can expect to hear the new tunes as well as old favorites.
