VOX Announces AC1 RhythmVOX Mini Bass Amp
The amp makers at Vox have translated their mini guitar amp to the bass world with the introduction of the AC1 RhythmVOX Bass, a portable practice combo that weighs in at only 19.4 ounces.
Similar to its predecessor, the new model includes 66 built-in rhythm/song patterns including 8-beat, blues, funk, reggae, irregular patterns, and more. The tempo and level for the patterns are controlled by separate knobs, with a tempo range of 40-240bpm. An Aux input allows for plugging in an mp3 player or other external device.
For tonal control, the AC1RV Bass amp has a tone knob as well as two sound variations: bright and normal. Tone can also be affected via the Drive control. The amp can run on either a 9V adapter or 6 AA batteries, which supply up to 26 hours of life. The price point has not been officially announced but is expected to be around $59.99.
