Bergantino Announces the Forté D Bass Amplifier
Bergantino Amplification has once again expanded their Forté line of bass amps with a new model. The 800-watt Forté D builds upon the original version with the company’s Big Fat Tube (BFT) technology.
“The BFT circuit delivers exactly what bass players crave out of tube amplifiers, but in an easy to use, compact and lightweight format,” Bergantino writes. “From pristine and sparkling clean tones to mildly pushed tube drive, to super heavy, mix-shredding saturation and everything in between, it’s all here. Not to worry though, if you desire a perfectly clean tone, simply turn off the BFT technology and you got it!”
The Forté D also uses Bergantino’s new Parallel Dynamic Circuitry, which is a built-in compression that integrates with the BFT drive feature. The company writes that this allows for a sensitive, touch dynamic to offer a better feel for the player.
Other controls include a four-band EQ and a Bright switch for extra presence. Its rear panel is outfitted with dual Speakon outputs, an XLR output with ground lift and pre/post EQ switch, an effects loop, a secondary Line output, and a headphone output. The front panel has an auxiliary input for connecting an external device to jam along with. It also has a switch to toggle the amp between 2 ohms (at 800 watts), 4 ohms (at 750 watts), and 8 ohms (at 350 watts). All in, the amp weighs just six pounds.
The Bergantino Audio Systems Forté D will be available in December and can be preordered now for $999.99.
