Flea Confirms New Red Hot Chili Peppers Album Details
After years of anticipation, we now have a confirmed release date for the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album after Flea broke the news via his Twitter account.
“It gives me profound pleasure deep in the fiber of my being to announce the August 30 release date of the new red hot chili peppers’s record,” the bassist announced, later tweeting “the new red hot chili peppers record is called……….. I’m With You.”
The full release will be preceded by the single “The Adventures of Raindance Maggie,” due out July 18.
I’m With You will be the band’s first effort since 2006’s Stadium Arcadium, and the first since guitarist John Frusciante was replaced with Josh Klinghoffer.
Besides his signature bass style, Flea has been contributing a lot of piano to the album after studying music theory during the group’s downtime.
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
Love these guys.
