Bootsy Collins’ Funk University Year Two Under Way

Bootsy Collins and Larry GrahamBootsy Collins’ Funk University has begun it’s second year of classes. The online funk school’s faculty for this year includes Ron Carter, Verdine White, Jack Bruce, Hansford Rowe, Stanley Clarke, Larry Graham, Jani Hendrix and more.

The program, which costs $29.99 a month, includes access to on-demand video lessons, tutorials and lectures on playing and the music business as a whole. All the content from Year One is available in addition to the new material, and students will still have the opportunity to have staff review their work as well as get their questions answered by the teachers during “office hours.”

At the end of year two, the “sharpest students” at Funk U will be included on an album. Enrollment is limited this year to 1,000 students, so check out the Funk University site for more info.
