Empress Effects Introduces Compressor Pedal

Empress Effects Compressor PedalEmpress Effects has released a new analog compressor pedal, which brings the stompbox closer to studio gear status through the addition of more controls. Designed for both bass and guitar, the Empress Compressor also strays from 3-knob compressors by being “truly transparent.”

The pedal’s controls include those found on a pro compressor: Attack, Release and Ratio, which is a switch between 2:1, 4:1, and 10:1 gain reductions. It also includes a Mix knob for blending between your wet and dry signals in parallel.

For visual cues, the compressor includes input and gain reduction metering that can be seen separately or together at the flick of a switch.

The company also included a sidechain, which is an input that allows for an outside signal to activate the gain reduction control circuit.

The Empress Compressor will be available the first week of August with a price point of $249. For more info, visit the Empress Effects website.
