Lakland Introduces New Skyline Model Basses
Lakland has announced new Skyline versions of their 44-51 and 44-AJ models. The Skyline series is manufactured overseas, then shipped to Lakland’s Chicago shop for final inspection.
The Skyline 44-51 is a vintage styled bass, featuring a USA made Neo Punch split single coil pickup. The slab ash body is finished in butterscotch and has vintage round neck profile with a maple fretboard. MSRP is $1399.
Lakland’s 44-AJ and 55-AJ basses will also have Skyline versions. Available in 4- and 5-string models respectively, the basses feature an ash body with a flamed maple veneer. The construction includes a string-thru-body design and a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The electronics include Lakland USA made vintage split single coils and a Bartolini active 3-band preamp.
The Lakland Skyline 44-AJ will retail at $1,550 while the Skyline 55-AJ will have an MSRP of $1,650.
