Wish I could do the technical stuff, but this cat needs to go back to bass(ics) and learn the value of rhythm and melody. I was bored to tears frankly.

Was bored at :37. Yea, it’s amazing tech and all that but no groove.
Although I have no doubt that he can lay down a solid groove too. Probably too quick to judge, but you hear that style of solo bass quite often.
For all you haters… It’s a SOLO bass performance.

I like the way he went into NAIMA by John Coltrane. Jonas Helborg is very musical in my opinion and in John Mclaughlin’s opinion too I might add.
