Fender Releases Classic ’70s Precision Bass

Fender has released the Classic Series ’70s Precision Bass, paying homage to the P-bass of yesteryear. Made in Japan, the basses include era-specific features like the bass-side thumbrest, the ’70s-style large headstock logo and a bound neck with block inlays.

    too funky….lol@ the price though

  2. Can anybody else “not” find this instrument on Fender’s website? Maybe that explains why the couple of dealers I’ve asked about this bass have no idea what I’m talking about.

  3. I still miss my old ’70’s P-bass. Traded it for a J-bass which has served me well, but I still miss it.

  4. I like the look of this bass guitar. Traded away many guitars over the years. Now I just hold on to everything. But I sure like the look of this bass. Yes Sir I do.

  5. I bought one..excellent craftsmanship..cool look and amazing growl..love it!

  6. I tried one of these and then tried the squire version played on the same fender 210 pro, same settings….hello its the same bass! right down to feel, sound, and growl….I guess yer paying an extra $700 cuz its a reissue…idk…I love my fender jazz deluxe bass’s and fender 210, so when fender can decide to make a matching headstock bass better than those call me!

  7. the block fret markers, j bass style, look soooooooo out of place. My ’74 P is4ft a way from me.
