Willy González and Micaela Vita: Bailarín de Los Montes
After focusing on jazz in his career, Argentinian bassist Willy González turned to traditional Latin American songs of folk lore and formed a duo with vocalist Micaela Vita.
González fills in for a whole band by utilizing chordal strumming and percussive attacks while Vita pours her soul into the song, which translates to “Dancer of the Mountains.”
Don’t understand it, but then again music IS the universal language!

Discrepo con vos mi apreciado Edgardo! El contexto fisico al que se refiere la cancion –muy poetica y bella por lo demas– es uno de caracter altoandino… tiene referencias a pampas de salitre, alguna palabra en quechua y el tamborcito tipo “calchaqui”. Entonces no se trata de un “forest dancer” sino mas bien de un “mountain dancer”… el contexto emocional es rural y desolado, lo que permite una expresion emocional desbordada, que afortunadamente esta expresada de una forma verbal que carga mucha emocion y poesia, orlada de una musica armoniosa y bellamente ritmica… Me gusto mucho… y te agradezco su envio! Un fuerte abrazo, y disculpa mi orrorosa hortogragia… estoy en una lap-pop y fuera de casa… Buahhhhh….
