Nick Mason: “You’ve Got A Friend in Me” Solo Bass Performance
Bassist Nick Mason put together a great all-bass arrangement of the Randy Newman song, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”, made popular by the original Toy Story. Nick said he was inspired to arrange this piece after seeing Toy Story 3.
If you’re interested in working on this one yourself, you’re in luck. Nick has posted a chart for download for the first section.
Niiice. Love Newman! Play on, young brother!
AWESOME!
Du hast`n Freund in mir!
bravo, work with others and create!
Very impressive work Nick – thanks for sharing!
Zamn!
Very nice. Well played, Nick.
Excellent, an all bass performance that I’d listen to for days.
Very nice and easy to listen to. Great job!
This is a great time to ask how to play with sheet music. How do I correlate a fret and string number to the note?
First you have to learn the fret board. You have to know every note on every string http://www.thecipher.com/fretspell_BASSguitar.pdf
Wonderful! Really, I love it!
Dang that was good! I wish I would have started playing earlier. To see a good musician at that age is inspiring and frustrating.
