Fodera Introduces Matt Garrison Standard Bass

Fodera Matt Garrison Standard Bass

Fodera expanded its Standard series at NAMM this year with the Matt Garrison Standard. As with the other Standard models, the company says the bass comes in a single configuration to keep the price point and wait time down versus the artist models.

Built for speed, the new model came to existence after Garrison decided to switch his string spacing from 19mm to 17.5mm at the bridge. The 33″ scale bass features a walnut body with a box elder burl top, a three-piece hard rock maple neck, and a pau ferro fingerboard with Mother-of-Pearl inlays.

For electronics, the Matt Garrison Standard includes a pair of Fodera/Duncan dual coil pickups and a Fodera/Pope custom shop three-band preamp. Other features include an ebony ramp, 26 small frets, and a drop tuner.

Fodera is currently taking deposits for the new Matt Garrison Standard, which lists for $8,750.
