Markbass Introduces Four New Pedals at NAMM 2012

Markbass unveiled four new pedals for 2012 at NAMM this year, including the MB7 Booster, MB7 Distorsore, the MB Mini Boost and the MB Mini Dist. All of the new products are made in Italy and feature true bypass.

Markbass MB7 Booster

Markbass MB7 Booster PedalThe MB7 Booster offers up to +20 dB in addition to a 7-band graphic EQ with controls ranging from 40 Hz to 4kHz. Each band can be boosted or cut by 16dB.

Markbass MB7 Distorsore

Markbass MB7 Distorsore PedalMarkbass’s MB7 Distorsore is a flexible distortion that also includes a 7-band EQ for tailoring your sound to fit any situation. The Distorsore’s Drive control peaks at +50dB, which the company says allows for sounds between “sweet overdrive to exciting aggressive distortion.”

Markbass MB Mini Boost

Markbass MB Mini Boost PedalContinuing the MB Mini series is the MB Mini Boost, a smaller take on the MB7 Booster. The pedal comes in a much smaller chassis and forgoes the 7-band EQ, though it add Markbass’s VPF filter for cutting mids while boosting lows and highs resulting in clean attack and a bottom-heavy slap sound.

Markbass MB Mini Dist

Markbass MB Mini Dist PedalBased on the Markbass Bass Tube Marker, the MB Mini Boost Dist has offers up to +60dB of gain and a pair of Tone controls.

  • Input Impedance: 1 Mohm/ 6Vpp
  • Drive: +60 dB (Maximum Gain)
  • Tone 1: Tone control from 200 Hz to 2.5 kHz
  • Tone 2: From 0 to -20 dB at 800 Hz
  • Dimensions: 3.23” x 1.5” x 4.92”
  • Weight: .57 lbs
  • Power: +9/+12VDC
