Lemmy Kilmister Working on Solo Album

Lemmy KilmisterMotörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister revealed that he’s working on a solo album in a recent interview with SF Weekly’s Dave Pehling.

The veteran metal bassist says he’s most of the way through the effort, which will be chock full of guest artists.

“I’m three-quarters of the way though a solo album right now. I’ve got two tracks with The Damned, two tracks with [German hard-rock band] Skew Siskin, one with Joan Jett, one with Grohl, and two with the Reverend Horton Heat. So I’ve got quite a mixed bag on there. I’m trying to get one with Skin from Skunk Anansie.”

Kilmister went on to say that he got the idea for a solo album from Jeff Beck, who he is also trying to get to contribute. The yet unnamed album will probably be out next year due to his current commitments with Motörhead.

  1. Jeff Beck and Lemmy would be an interesting combination to say the least! I hope he convinces him to play on the album.

  2. Lemmy and Reverend Horton Heat? As a fan of The HeadCat and the Reverend I think this is going on the top of my CDs to look out for pile.
