Godin Introduces Shifter Classic 4 Bass

Godin has added a new model to their Shifter bass series named the Classic 4. The new model, which sports a new Crème Brulee high gloss finish, has Godin’s passive PJ pickups for a more retro style and sound.

Godin Shifter Classic 4 Bass

The Shifter Classic 4 is built with a Canadian Laurentian Basswood body, rock maple neck, and either a maple or rosewood fingerboard. Its controls include a Volume knob, a Tone knob, and a 4-way pickup selector switch that toggles between bridge, neck, blend, and series configurations.

The Godin Shifter Classic 4 will be available in the coming months with a street price of around $795. For more details, check out the Godin Guitars website.

  1. I don’t know about anybody else… but I think that finish is dee-lish! And the necks on the earlier Shifter basses were super-fine. This looks like a great bass, can’t wait to get my hands on one!

  2. Kinda reminds me of the Fender Mustang Bass. Nice though.

  3. If anyone knows how I might get my hands on one of these beauty’s I’d like to know. They seem to be out of stock every where I look online.
