Dream Theater Announces Summer Tour with the Crimson Projekct
Prog fans will have lots to look forward to this summer as Dream Theater is teaming up with Crimson Projekct for a hefty North American tour. The two bands will be kicking it off on June 15th in Rochester, New York before hitting Quebec, then criss-crossing the U.S.
This marks the second North American leg of Dream Theater’s tour in support of A Dramatic Turn of Events, which dropped last year and featured a Grammy nomination for the single “On The Backs Of Angels”.
For those who missed the Two of a Perfect Pair Tour, the Crimson Projekct brings together King Crimson vets Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Pat Mastelotto with band members Julie Slick, Markus Reuter, and Tobias Ralph, for a Crimson-centric performance.
If you’ve been doing the math, that means the tour features bass work from Dream Theater’s John Myung, King Crimson’s Tony Levin, and Adrian Belew Power Trio’s Julie Slick all in one night.
Hold on to your hats.
