Ted “Blyss” Gould: “People Make the World Go Round” All Bass & Drums Cover

Philadelphia soul groups always hit the spot with me, so when Ted “Blyss” Gould, sent in his all bass cover of “People Make the World Go Round” by the Stylistics, I was sold.

Enlisting the help of drummer Dante “Taz” Roberson, Blyss shows up in triplicate in the video playing the bass line, melody, and the chords. His axes are a Mike Lull MV5 and a Warmoth Jazz strung with tenor bass tuning.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
