Victor Wooten: “Secret” Harmonic Technique
As part of our three part interview with Victor Wooten, we’ve shared several exclusive videos for the series.
So many, we’re afraid some might get lost in the mix.
And so, we decided to pull one out to share today. Here, Victor shares his technique for the solo on “Sword and Stone”, from his new albums.
Check it out, and then check out the interview…
Awesome.
HOLY shit!
That is awesome
How did you ever figure this out?
Victor is my bass Totem! Ain’t none out there at his level!
Vic’s brother Regi would just about always have that scrunchy on his electric guitar neck. Much love to the Wooten Family! Regi will be missed.
This is an awesome trick that I will definitely use once I get a loop pedal. The variety of layers I could loop to create a song or jam would be broadened tremendously.
MASTER! I’ll try that out TODAY!
<— pulls out his hair tie and….. ill be damned.
All the hair ties I’ve tried are too big and won’t stay where I try to put them. Help?
As always…. Stealing our head! Great stuff
Thanks, Victor!
I can die now. I saw Vic Wooten flub a note,. therefore, I have seen EVERYTHING!!! hahaha
