EMG Launches NS-WAV Retro Fit System for NS Design Basses
EMG has introduced a new drop-in system specifically for the NS Design NS-WAV bass. The EMG NS-WAV Retro Fit gives you more control beyond the standard volume, tone, and Arco/Pizzicato controls.
“Along with the standard master volume control, the EMG NS-WAV Retro Fit includes a new blend control to replace the arco/pizzicato switch that allows you to dial in the perfect timbre and to bow in any position on the blend control,” EMG writes. “For even more tonal control, there is also a high cut pot that preserves the expansive low end while cutting high end frequencies at 12dB per octave.”
The system runs off 18 volts for extra headroom and dynamic range. The EMG NS-WAV Retro Fit drops in without any serious modification.
“Depending on when your instrument was made there may be some soldering of the pickup inputs involved,” EMG writes. “If your existing pickup(s) have a 4 pin connector on them, you’re even better off. If not, we’ve provided the tools for a complete installation.”
The EMG NS-WAV Retro Fit is available now for $269.
