Jared Followill: Kings of Leon Writing New Material

It looks like Kings of Leon are ready to get back into gear after taking a break following a tour cancellation last year. In an interview with BBC 6 Music, bassist Jared Followill dropped the news that the group is in the process of making a new album.
“We are in the writing process right now and it’s coming along pretty quickly,” he stated. “We’ll definitely get into the studio by the end of this year but we have no plans of finishing [an album] this year. But definitely early next year, so I think people should expect something from us sooner rather than later.”
During the group’s downtime, Followill has been working on his side project, Smoke & Jackal.
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
I’m loving Followhill’s new stuff and the Virginmarys. http://bit.ly/XQnJRb
