Epiphone Announces Limited Edition TV Pelham Blue Bass Collection, Including EB-3
Epiphone is paying tribute to the old school with a limited edition of six of their models in TV Pelham Blue, a color finish that was first introduced in the ’60s. The color was offered as a custom option in its heyday and as such is rare to find on vintage instruments.
The lineup includes the Ltd. Ed. TV Pelham Blue EB-3 bass, which features a mahogany body and neck with a 1960s SlimTaper profile. The headstock has a Sloped Dovewing and a vintage style Epiphone logo pearloid inlay.
The bass is fitted with a Epiphone Mini Bass humbucker in the in the bridge position and a Sidewinder Bass humbucker in the neck position. Controls include a 3-position rotary pickup selector, volume knobs for each pickup, and a master tone knob.
The Epiphone Ltd. Ed. TV Pelham Blue EB-3 Bass will be shipping in June with an estimated street price of $299.

I wish epiphone or gibson would do a EB-3 original wiring and scale model!
You can bet that, if Gibson did one, it would cost more than a vintage original.
But wouldn’t it be just AS good as the vintage? Just not old.
Why do you never hear anything about the Gibson EB-0?
My first bass was an EBO, after playing a Precision for 40 years, the last time I tried one it kind of felt like a ukelele
Wasn’t the EB-0 the longer scale version of the EB-3?
Other way around ;) The EB-0 is and was 30″ scale, the EB-3 is and was 34″ scale.
These are so cool to look at but they are unbalanced and neck-heavy for being so lightweight overall.
The EB-0 and EB-3 during the 60’s were both 30″ short scale. The difference between them was that the EB-0 was single pickup and the EB-3 the dual pickup version. In the early 70’s Gibson introduced the EB-3L which was the 34″ long scale version of the EB-3.
I’ve always wondered about that, thanks Jon.
Heard the “LES PAUL GOLD TOP” live a few weeks ago. Not only does that Bass look bitchin, it sure kicks some serious ass as well. I couldn’t believe what i was hearing from a 3pc Band, and a very small knee high amp. My choice if i were a Bass Man… but give me a can a paint remover first, if i ever owned this new EB-3… Ugh!!
Pelham Blue is the new Silverburst.
I wish Epiphone would do some more body styles like the old school Gibson basses.
