Green Day’s Mike Dirnt launches the Epiphone Grabber G-3, reviving the classic G-3 with Nashville-built pickups, modern construction, and a punchy signature tone.

Originally introduced in 1973, the Gibson Grabber was a staple of the decade thanks to its use by KISS bassist Gene Simmons. It would find a new life in the ’90s as players like Krist Novoselic and Mike Dirnt put it to use. Now it’s reborn in a new version from Epiphone.

Jack Casady has had a signature Epiphone semi-hollow bass for many years, but the rock legend has shaken things up with a fretless version. The Epiphone Jack Casady Fretless Bass is described as the culmination of the bassist’s years of experimentation.

In 2022, amid the news of Pantera reforming to tour, Gibson unveiled a Rex Brown signature Thunderbird Bass. The signature model has now been added to the more budget-minded Epiphone brand.
