Happy Fourth Birthday, No Treble!

4 Birthday candlesEvery May 2nd, I like to celebrate No Treble’s birthday with a story.

Each year’s story is exciting to me, and looking back, it is even more exciting at how far this thing I once called a “little experiment” has come.

Over these four years, we’ve made so many friends and connections, including over 80,000 on Facebook, almost 7,000 on Twitter, plus the people we see at events and concerts throughout the year.

We’ve also now published over 5,560 stories, videos, columns, lessons and features. We have some exciting new things in the works for 2013, and we can’t wait to tell you about them.

Today, No Treble is visited by 130,000 people a month, who visit 240,000 times a month. We’d be nothing without you all, and I’d like to thank you first for making this what it is today.

Of course, we’d also be nothing without the incredible group of contributors – past and present – who work to bring the greatest bass-focused stories, lessons, advice and more to readers every day. I’m blown away by all of them, and it is an honor to work with them. Here’s the current lineup:

One of my favorite things about No Treble is that we get to meet and feature so many great bassists around the world, whether it is through our weekly spotlight, our Old School series or one of our daily video features. If you haven’t shared your story or your music with us yet, I encourage you to do so.

We’d love to hear from you, on how we’re doing. What have you enjoyed here? What would you like to see us do more? Please tell us about it in the comments.

Most of all, thank you for your friendship, readership, comments and for spreading the word. It means the world to us.
