Jeff Ament Makes Appearance on “Sweet Relief III” Charity Album
Pearl Jam bassist and all-around good guy Jeff Ament is lending his playing talents to the new Sweet Relief III: Pennies from Heaven charity album. Ament joins Joseph Arthur for a cover of the Townes Van Zandt song “If I Needed You.”
The album is a compilation of artists playing cover songs with appearances by She & Him, Jackson Browne, Ben Harper, k.d. lang, Sam Phillips, Ron Sexsmith and Victoria Williams. All sales benefit the Sweet Relief Fund, which provides financial assistance to musicians that are struggling while dealing with illness, disability or age-related problems.
Sweet Relief III… is out now in digital format via iTunes and Amazon MP3. Pearl Jam is currently gearing up for their new album, Lightning Bolt, which is set for an October 15th release.
