La Bella Introduces 7710T White Nylon Tape Wound Double Bass Strings

La Bella 7710T White Nylon Tape Wound Double Bass StringsLa Bella has introduced the 7710T White Nylon Tape Wound Set as part of their revamp of the Double Bass Nylon Tape Wound Series of strings. Developed with Ron Carter and Attila Zoller, the series is aimed at jazz pizzicato players and described as capturing the rich tone of gut strings and the sustain of steel strings.

The new 7710T set features nylon tape construction strings that are wound with a clear proprietary nylon. The result is a string that’s smoother to the touch with a brighter tone and clarity than their original 7710N strings.

La Bella’s 7710T White Nylon Tape Wound double bass strings come standard in 3/4 size, but are available in 1/4, 1/2, and 4/4 sizes as well as a special length for the Ampeg BB1 Baby Bass. Optional High “C”, Low “C” and Low “C” in Extended Scale are also available. The strings are on the market now with street prices around $140 per set.
