Spector Announces NS-2000/5 Dan Briggs Signature Bass

Spector was showing lots of new instruments at the NAMM show this year, including the NS-2000/5 Dan Briggs Signature bass. It’s modeled after the same NS-2000/5 that Briggs has owned and played since he was 16.

The bass features neck-through construction with a 3-piece rock maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, maple body wings, and a quilt maple top. The body’s shape is true to the original 2000/5 curvature. Besides dot inlays, the fingerboard has a special 12th fret inlay designed by Ben Tuttle.

Spector fitted the bass with a pair of SSD Dual coil humbuckers as well as their TonePump Jr. circuit. Controls include separate volume knobs for each pickup as well as bass and treble knobs. The Spector NS-2000/5 Dan Briggs Signature bass will be shipping soon with a street price of $1,399.
