Primus Announces May/June Tour Dates

Les Claypool has been focusing on his Duo de Twang lately, but he’s getting geared up to return to Primus with a string of dates announced for May and June. The jaunt will kick off with a three-night run at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 1st to May 3rd, after which they’ll join Queens of the Stone Age for a concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

Primus will then head south for a run that wraps up at Summercamp Music Festval. In June they’ll return to the Northeast that includes two shows with The Dean Ween Group.

Claypool announced in September that drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander is back in the fold after Jay Lane left to pickup where RatDog left off. Though nothing is set in stone, the group has spoken about returning to the studio to work on a new album. Their seventh studio album, Green Naugahyde, was released September 2011 and peaked at #15 on the US Billboard 200.
