Led Zeppelin Re-Releases First Three Albums

If John Paul Jones is your go-to bassist, then you have some kind of reason to rejoice this year. All the Led Zepplin’s nine studio albums will be re-released in remastered, deluxe (and even super-deluxe boxed) editions, starting with Led Zeppelin I, II and III. Guitarist Jimmy Page oversaw the entire remastering process.

Each deluxe edition not only includes the remastered version of the original album, but also features a second audio disc of previously unreleased live, rough, or backing tracks. For example, Led Zeppelin II includes an awesome rough mix with vocal of “Whole Lotta Love.”

The companion disc material, Page said, is really a “portal” back in time to when the tracks were recorded.

Digital downloads are available for the regular and deluxe editions, and vinyl copies of the original albums and companion audio are pressed on 180-gram vinyl, with the records coming an a replica of the original sleeves.
