Amanda Ruzza and Mauricio Zottarelli: No Glasses, Part 2

Amanda Ruzza has teamed up with drummer Mauricio Zottarelli for a cool new project aptly called Ruzza/Zottarelli. The duo is releasing Glasses, No Glasses in September. The album also features keyboardist Leo Genovese, who has worked with Esperanza Spalding.

All of the tracks were improvised on the spot. “Everything was live, with no overdubs. Only pure rock ‘n roll,” Ruzza shared.

Here’s a video for the bonus track, “No Glasses, Part 2.” Ruzza lays down some gnarly bass while the trio interacts to play around with the groove and texture.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast.
