Victor Wooten Band: 2014 Jazz Series – Live

On April 27th, Victor Wooten performed with his band in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The lineup included Vic’s brothers Regi (guitar) and Joseph (keys), along with drummer Derico Watson and vocalist Krystal Peterson.

The group start things off with Vic’s tune “Brooklyn” from Words and Tones, which they keep as a theme throughout the performance.

Good stuff right here.

I saw this line up @ Yoshi’s S.F. & had a great time. The music/musicianship & vibe was just such a great experience. I even got a free set of strings from D’Addario that night. Minus the strings from the ticket price & I think I paid (approx.) $8 for the ticket. Now if somebody could have paid for my beers – giggitty. GREAT video!!!

Now this is the Victor Wooten I love. Sitting in the pocket and adding many colors to the music. He is funkier than most bassist just augmenting the song. Love his feel.
