Dream Theater Breaks Fourth Wall on New Live DVD

Dream Theater experienced a homecoming when it played the Boston Opera House earlier this year and The Berklee College of Music Orchestra and Choir made a guest appearance. The band has a deep association with Berklee. Guitarist John Petrucci and bassist John Myung are Berklee alumni. Drummer Mike Mangini was a professor at the school before joining Dream Theater.

The March 25 show on the Grammy-nominated progressive metal band’s “Along for the Ride” tour has been captured on DVD/Blu-ray as Breaking the Fourth Wall, produced by Petrucci. “All of the Berklee College instrumentalists and vocalists did an outstanding job that night and it was awesome to have one of its students, Eren Ba?bu? orchestrate and conduct them live at the Opera House after having been a part of our latest studio release in the same capacity,” Petrucci said.

“This is in my opinion, a major highlight in our nearly 30 year career as a band,” he added.
