Radial Engineering Now Shipping Stagebug SB-48UB
Radial Engineering has introduced the Stagebug SB-48UB, a phantom power supply for use with a condenser microphone. Aiming the device at double bassists who utilize mics in their setup, the company explains the new box supplies microphones with 48 volt phantom power and outputs an unbalanced signal that is more appropriate for use in a standard preamp.
The SB-48UB is housed in a solid steel chassis and powered by a 15VDC supply. The power is elevated by an internal non-radiating charge pump to get it up to 48-volts, or it can be set to 12VDC. The device has both balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4-inch outputs.
The Radial SB-48UB is made in Canada and is shipping now for $150.
