JJ Grey & Mofro Announce Album Release and 2015 Tour Dates

JJ Grey & Mofro: Ol’ GloryFans getting an itch to hear new music from JJ Grey and Mofro don’t have long to wait. The band has announced that its upcoming album, Ol’ Glory, is due out Feb. 25, 2015, and a tour to support the record will begin earlier that same month.

If the trailer’s anything to go by, the new album features the deep Southern soul sound on which the band has built its reputation. Album special guests include Luther Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars on dobro and electric slide guitar and Derek Trucks on electric slide guitar. Mofro bassist Todd Smallie is also a member of The Derek Trucks Band.

Just check out the album trailer:

The tour begins on Valentine’s Day in St. Petersburg, Florida, and continues in the U.S. through March 7, before heading overseas.
