Electro-Harmonix Introduces Bass Soul Food Pedal
Electro-Harmonix has announced a bass-specific version of their Soul Food natural overdrive and clean boost pedal. The company describes the pedal as designed to enhance the original sound of your instrument while retaining its essential character.
The Bass Soul Food is set apart with a gain stage, treble control and signal path optimized for bass guitar with more low-end definition. It also adds onto its predecessor with a Clean blend knob to retain your original signal. Other features include true or buffered bypass modes, a switchable -10dB pad, and 9-volt battery operation.
“Our Soul Food put Klon-like transparent overdrive into the hands of players at an unprecedented price point,” Electro-Harmonix founder Mike Matthews states. “Now we want to bring that to bass guitarists and guitar players who want more low-end punch. The Bass Soul Food delivers a wide range of overdrive and clean boost sounds, and has plenty of volume to assert your place in the mix.”
The Electro-Harmonix Bass Soul Food ships with an EHX power supply. It will be shipping soon with a list price of $117.79.
