ESP Guitars Introduces Bunny Brunel Signature Basses

Fusion bassist Bunny Brunel teamed up with ESP Guitars to unveil a new signature line at the 2015 Winter NAMM Show. The basses comes in two models: the BB-1004/QM, which is a four-string with a See-Thru Black Sunburst, and the BB-1005FL/QM, a fretless five-string with a Burnt Orange finish.

Both editions carry many of the same features, including an alder body topped with quilted maple, a maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard. Besides frets, the main difference in the basses lies in the neck profile. Where the four-string has a “C”-shape, the five-string has an asymmetric neck profile.

The basses are both fitted with an Aguilar MM-style pickup in the bridge position and a hum canceling J-pickup in the neck position. Electronics include an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp, while the hardware consists of a Hipshot bridge and tuners with an Xtender on the lowest string.

The ESP Guitars Bunny Brunel BB-1004/QM and BB-1005FL/QM basses will be shipping soon with price points of $1,299 and $1,399, respectively.

  1. Some people see a painting as art , I see basses like these two as a work of art .
O my these basses are really nice and I wish I could play that four string out loud .

  2. I liked the Carvin signature model better, more customizable.

I agree, I think the Carvin BB looked more classy and high end. The Carvin headstock design also looks way more up scale.

  3. Looks like the basses he has with Carvin except the head is different. Has he left Carvin?
