Aquarium Rescue Unit, Featuring Oteil Burbridge, Announces 2015 Reunion Tour

Aquarium Rescue Unit

The quirky jam legends of Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit have announced they will be reuniting this summer for a handful of tour dates presented by Relix Magazine. Originally formed in 1988, the band will hit the road with its classic lineup of Hampton, guitarist Jimmy Herring, drummer Jeff Sipe, and bassist Oteil Burbridge.

The band will take Colorado by storm with four dates starting on July 29th at the Fox Theatre in Boulder before focusing on the East Coast through August. Their trek is slated to wrap up on August 16th at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York.

This will mark the band’s first show since a 2011 performance in Athens, Georgia. Burbridge, who co-founded the band, is also widely known for his work with the Allman Brothers Band, Trey Anastasio, the Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Bill Kreutzmann and more.
