Primus: Lee Van Cleef
Just about all of Les Claypool‘s bass lines are catchy and fun to play, but “Lee Van Cleef” is one of my favorites. The song, which pays homage to the actor with allusions to Claypool’s childhood, centers around a springy slap bass line on the D and G strings.
Check out this clip of Primus performing it on the Jimmy Fallon show from February 2012.

I’m not the hugest fan of Primus but ya gotta admit ol’ Les has a completely unique voice. Bass Dobro! pretty cool
I saw Primus in2011 on Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland and they were great ! And Les played on this Dobro Bass too – good memories cause after him performed Prince ! :)
The Green Naugahyde tour was great! I saw them in Eugene.
